Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Far From Home to plan group trips, invite travelers and track money between them.
This page is placeholder content maintained by Far From Home and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Do not rely on it as legal advice.
1. Who we are
Far From Home is a group travel planning platform. We help an organizer design a trip, invite a crew, and keep a shared record of what the trip costs and who has paid.
2. Organizers and travelers
The person who creates a trip is its organizer. Organizers set the itinerary, add expenses, and confirm payments. Travelers can view the trip, vote on suggestions and report the payments they have sent. Organizer decisions about a trip are theirs, not ours.
3. Money between travelers
Today Far From Home records obligations and payments. It does not process card payments, hold funds, or move money between travelers. Any settlement happens directly between the crew, using whatever method they choose. The ledger in the app is a record, not a guarantee of payment.
4. Bookings with third parties
Stays, flights, excursions and nightlife are supplied by third parties under their own terms. Their cancellation and change rules apply to your booking.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Far From Home to defraud other travelers, misrepresent trip costs, harass members of a crew, or circumvent a trip's organizer arrangements.
6. Changes
We will update these terms as the product grows, including when card payments are switched on. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect.
